A study published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine showed that supplementing with ashwagandha for 10 days improved sleep quality and reduced the time it took participants to fall asleep. Additionally, another study showed that supplementing with ashwagandha for 6 weeks improved sleep efficiency and reduced waking times during the night.

The effects of ashwagandha on anxiety and sleep quality are thought to be due to its ability to modulate the activity of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, such as GABA and serotonin, which play a role in the regulation of mood and sleep.

How much ashwagandha to take at bedtime?
